BIOGRAPHY
Alanson (ah-LAN-son) Lance Middlebrook has 37 years of experience in the decorative art field. Painting murals, trompe l’oiel, faux bois, painted floor designs and ceilings, he has worked throughout the US independently and under the direction of master muralist and decorative artist, Robert Jackson. Though the projects were primarily residential, many commercial jobs were included.

Some of his independent projects include Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN, the diplomatic reception floor of the US State Department in Washington, DC, homes of Garth Brooks, Naomi Judd and other private residences. He has worked with numerous designers including John Salidino, Mario Buatta, Bunny Williams and William Hodgens.
Lance’s work has been published in “Audio Video Interiors”, “Southern Accents”, “Hotels” and “Adventures with Old Houses”.

He has since moved entirely to the studio; painting and drawing with different and mixed media.
